Well I’m back, and as usual it has been a little longer than I planned. Things are well and I find myself doing and experiencing some new things that are putting me right where I want to be. In my entrepreneurial journey things aren’t happening extremely fast but they aren’t happening slow either. I am encouraged because I seem to be growing just the way I hoped, sustainably. I’ve just been trying to take at least one step forward everyday and that has really amounted to me be being able to now look back and see that I have come a long way. Today I am writing about a state of mind that came over me today that brought a very healthy dose of contentment. You know, when I started this whole I’m gonna figure out how to live life on my terms way of thinking, my idea of success seemed to hinge heavily on a financial benchmark. In my subconscious, I was thinking that success should translate to there being this unbelievable amount of money in the bank. Don’t get me wrong, financial stability is a very worthy and in many ways necessary goal. But I found something new today that brought this abundant amount of mental clarity. While leaving a quick meeting with a potential client during lunch (that just so happened to be in a medical center lobby, which made it even more awesome!), I realized that success really, is in the journey. It’s found in the doing. It rests in taking the time to make an effort to work towards your goals and desires. As crazy and as simple as it may sound this brought a great deal of encouragement and it literally added fuel to the fire within me. Most importantly it relieved a ton of stress. I believe the relief came from the elimination of this unrelenting goal to fill a bank account. Somehow, I just suddenly went to this feeling of, hey, I’m doing what I want to do and that is allllriiiiight. There’s a peace that came and it’s kind of weird because everything since that moment has been a breeze as far as my state of mind is concerned. I know they say good times don’t last, but let me tell you this, I’m going to do whatever I can to make these last!
“Success can be found in the ride to the destination as well as in getting to the final destination. There’s nothing wrong with enjoying the scenic route”.
“Do what you Love. No strings attached”
I just wanted to share this personal breakthrough. If you are grinding every day to reach your goals, keep pushing. And remember to be at peace along the way, doing so can revolutionize your productivity.
Til next time…… Be
